Requirements for End of Year Activities

Students must obtain an overall 2.0 cumulative grade point average.
Students must not be required to attend Summer School.
Students must successfully complete PARCC testing and EOY assessments

Students must earn no more than 20 referrals
Students may not earn more than 2 out of school suspensions

Community Service
All students must participate in at least 10 hours of approved, community and service experiences outside of school.
Attendance and School Participation
Students must maintain an attendance rate of 80% or higher including tardies

End of Year Activities Cost

The total cost for all the end of year activities is $430.00

$65.00 for the Formal Dance (covers venue, decorations, food, and favors)
$65.00 for Promotion (covers cap, gown, tassel, flowers, certificates, and refreshments)
$300.00 for the College Tour (covers hotel, food, transportation, and admission to sites

Promotion Dates

May 24, 2018- Promotion Activities Clearance Day
June 7, 2018- Formal Dance at The Spirit of Washington at 4:00 PM
June 8, 2018- Promotion at Jefferson Academy at 5:00 PM
June 11-13, 2018- College Tour in Southern Virginia
