Message from Principal Samuels

Principal Samuels
Dear Jefferson Middle School Academy Students and Families,

It is with great excitement that I greet you at the beginning of the second semester of the 2018-2019 school year.  Your children are growing academically, emotionally, and socially.  I thank each one of you for your enthusiasm and partnership, in our efforts to make Jefferson Academy the highest achieving middle school in Washington, DC.  Parent/Guardian support plays an important part in helping preteens and teens succeed in middle school.  We are committed to ensuring all Jefferson Academy families are informed.  Please use this link to access the Family/Community Calendar.  Here, you will find information on past and upcoming school events.

Read more on our Attendance, Homework expectations, and PTO.
As always, continue to stay connected with your child’s classroom teachers. As middle school students become more independent, staying connected can serve as a challenge, yet extremely important to their success. While activities at school, new interests, and expanding social circles can become more central to the lives of many middle school students, parents and guardians are still their anchors for providing love and guidance. At Jefferson Academy, we have social workers, a guidance counselor, community partners, teachers, and a leadership team here to support. Please use this link to access our Community Folder to connect us.

Your support of Jefferson Academy for the benefit of all students really makes a difference.  Thank you for your dedication.
